Job Description

EIA seeks a talented and experienced Creative Manager to spearhead our creative efforts and elevate our brand. EIA is a new trade association and this will be the first full time hire.  The ideal candidate will be innovative and resourceful who is a strategic thinker with a keen eye for design and a passion for storytelling. This role will be instrumental in shaping our visual identity and driving engagement across multiple platforms.  The ideal candidate will be used to a rapidly-changing environment, a self-starter, and a team player, willing to jump in and work collaboratively with the board of directors and CEO to build and grow this high-impact organization. The position is a hybrid role with some in-office time anticipated each week in Richmond, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy, including brand guidelines, messaging, and visual identity.

  • Digital Design: Oversee the design and development of our website, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing experience. Create engaging content, including blog posts, articles, social media posts, and email newsletters.

  • Graphic and Print Design: Design high-quality graphics, infographics, and presentations for various marketing materials. Design print materials such as brochures, flyers, and business cards.

  • Video Production: Produce and edit videos for social media, webinars, and other promotional purposes.

  • Project Management: Manage creative projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with external designers and freelancers to execute creative projects efficiently and effectively.

  • Other Support:  The Creative Manager will be asked to provide other support to the organization, including administrative tasks and membership engagement, as the organization builds a sustainable membership base and grows its impact.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a creative role

  • Experience working in a nonprofit trade association strongly preferred

  • Familiarity and experience with the YourMembership association management platform strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects)

  • Strong understanding of web design principles and experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace)

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Passion for ecommerce and a strong understanding of the industry

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field preferred

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $70,000+ annually
